Frequently asked questions
When does my warranty go into effect?
The lifetime warranty begins when the manufacture's warranty ends. Typically the manufacturers warranty is 1 year. The lifetime warranty begins the same day without any laps in coverage.
Does it cost any money to renew the warranty?
No, the only money the homeowner is responsible for is a $75 service fee per claim.
What are homeowners responsibilities for keeping the warranty active?
Homeowners are required to do an inspection of their home every year. The 1st year inspection and then an annual inspection every year after. The homeowner does this inspection themself and does not have to hire anyone to do it for them. It is completely free of charge. If registered we will call, text and email the homeowners to remind them of the inspection every year and they have a 60 day window to get the inspection completed. If the homeowner does not complete the inspection the warranty will become void and unrenewable. Links to the inspections can be found below.
Are homeowners responsible for any maintenance of their home systems and equipment?
Yes, homeowners are required to get all manufactured maintenance completed by a licensed professional. If homeowners do not keep their systems and equipment maintained then it will void their warranty.
Who can have the lifetime warranty
The lifetime warranty is for primary resident homes only. Meaning this can not be on your investment property, rental property, second home etc. The warranty is non-transferable and is for new homes only.
